Becoming a member

Everyone enrolled in JCU Dentistry is considered a member of JCUDSA. However there are various types of members with differing entitlements.

There are 4 main Membership types; Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond;

Silver Class – All students in the Dentistry school are considered Silver Members at no charge. This membership grants all students the right to vote at JCUDSA elections, attend general JCUDSA meetings and JCUDSA organised events at the determined ticket price.

Gold Class – Optional upgrade from Silver Membership at a one off cost of $50. This grants additional rights to be in the receipt of sponsor’s benefits, be considered JCUDSA convention sponsorship and enjoy a reduced ticket price for all events.

Platinum Class – All students in elected positions are Platinum Members. They have the right to vote in Position Review Meetings, Constitution Changes and make additional decisions as described in the appropiate job description. Platinum members are not exempt from paying the Gold Membership Fee.

Diamond Class - This membership is extended to private donors to the organisation as a token of appreciation.
